The Challenges
Desktop-Centric Complexity
The old retirement portfolio system was built for desktop, making it tough to use on mobile and frustrating for anyone trying to manage their accounts on the go.
New Mobile User Engagement
The Process

Getting to the Root of Mobile Needs
To kick things off, I interviewed stakeholders and customers to understand what mobile users actually needed—and expected. I also reviewed the existing desktop experience to pinpoint which features and content made the cut for a mobile translation.
Mapping the Mobile Experience
Next, I built an annotated interface deck that laid out a clear, logical structure for the mobile portfolio and account flows. This became the go-to blueprint for creating an intuitive user journey.
Prototyping, Testing, and Tuning
I translated key flows into high-fidelity wireframes and ran live user testing to see how real people interacted with them, then refined the designs based on their feedback to create a smoother, more intuitive experience.
The Solution
A mobile-optimized retirement portfolio management system, opening a new portal for engagement.
